Hello Everyone!

Welcome to Make, Do and Mend’s Newsletter Issue 2, January 2021. Here, you can read about what we have been up to recently and our plans for the coming months. In this issue we will also be introducing our team of Trustees. Make, Do and Mend is a local Cambridge charitable organisation for all who experience mental health distress. Like all social groups, we have had to adapt to the present situation and we are now doing most activities online.

Feel free to contact us through our website, Facebook or Instagram, email or by post. 2

MDAM Allotment Update:

Since Cambridgeshire entered Tier 4 Coronavirus restrictions on Boxing Day, we have temporarily stopped our allotment group and activities until we are sure that we can stay safe and continue adhering to the latest regulations.

New Creative Writing Group:

On the 27th of December 2020, Hilly hosted a trial introduction to creative writing on Zoom. It was a popular subject and the group was well attended. It was agreed to continue with regular meetings. We are all very excited to see this!

We also trialled a group walk shortly before Christmas to Stourbridge Common in Cambridge. This was led by Tony and Grainne. We hope we can do some more walks soon when the restrictions are eased.

Membership and Volunteering

Everyone has something to contribute or learn and there is little distinction between those attending as members and our team as we hope to build a sense of community and family.

Do you have any ideas for more online workshops you would like to see? Or do you have a creative skill you would like to share with our members on Zoom?

Donate Here

We would love to have more members and volunteers, so please pass this on to anyone you know who would like to join us! Membership is free and volunteers get Time Credits.
